The Curve Ball Analogy...

Why is it that everytime you think you may have someone figured out, they do something to prove they are still a big piece of shit?!  I guess(/know) my biggest problem is that I forgive and forget WAY too easily.  I forget about all of the (many) nasty things people have done to me, and I give them another chance...why though?!?  To just hurt me again?!  That sounds insanely retarded, doesn't it?  I guess that's what happens when you play with fire...you eventually get burned.  That's the way this crazy ass life works.  You think you may have the twists and turns finally figured out, and then you get thrown a wicked curve ball.  So wicked in fact...you end up striking out, terribly...almost making a fool of yourself, for even taking the risk of going up to bat.  I guess that the positive to all of this madness that some of us would like to call "life", is that one of the times, you have to get a hit...you can't always strike out.  That would just be completely insane...I guess I just have to start learning to hit these wicked curve balls!?

As for the rest of you out there who think you've got life figured out...always be prepared for a nasty curve ball...the only advice I can give you is keep your weight on the balls of your feet and be sure to watch the ball with your eyes WIDE OPEN!  If you keep your eyes on it the whole time,  You have a better chance at hitting that son of a bitch, than you do if you have your blinders on...Trust me on this one.
